Postdoctoral Research Fellows

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines;
  • PhD degree should have been obtained within 5 years;
  • Research experiences are preferred in cement chemistry, supplementary cementitious material, thermal dynamics modelling, life cycle analysis and cost analysis, polymer and polymer composites (synthesis, manufacturing, nano modification, and mechanics), molecular dynamics simulation, etc.
  • At least 3 publications in top international journals;
  • Good verbal and written English skills;
  • Experience of supervising graduate students is preferred.
  • Independent with minimal supervision and high self-motivation.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and master degrees in Materials Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines;
  • UG and Master GPA 85% min, with high class ranking;
  • Research experiences are preferred in cement chemistry, supplementary cementitious material, thermal dynamics modelling, life cycle analysis and cost analysis, polymer and polymer composites (synthesis, manufacturing, nano modification, and mechanics), molecular dynamics simulation, etc.
  • Publication experience is preferred;
  • IELTS language test 6.5 min.

Funding

The PhD scholarships will provide funding for up to 3.5 years, including tuition fees (3~4 years) and a tax-free stipend at the standard UKRI London rate.
